Forms a clump up to 90cm. high with the flowers just above . The leaves are longitudinally striped with cream , which can fade in hot summers or when flowering . It makes a robust vertical accent through the winter , and can then be sheared or just left as it is .It is good as a specimen , in groups of 3 or 5 , or in drifts and swathes.(1.5litre pot)

A dense arching clump to 75cm. high .The new leaves are greenish , yet age to a copper-brown. It is also a very easy grass to maintain , it never needs trimming or tidying , the old leaves waft away , and is wonderful in a pot , rarely needing re-potting . Ideally this grass prefers a sunny well-drained spot , but it will tolerate heavyish earth . It is 'evergreen' with slender blue-grey leaves up to 60cm. long and 20cm. flower plumes held 50cm above the foliage in spring .it originates from the S.W. Alpsand the W. Mediterranean. A reliable performer needing little attention , although it does flower more if the earth is fertile.Quite nice in a pot . (1.5litre pot)
